India is the exaltation of humanity on a large scale: 16 official languages; 1,652 dialects; more than 2,000 castes; about 5 dominant religions; 500 ancient kingdoms, and thousands of gods. So many gods, that there may be one for each task, for each person and for each position. Gods sanctified secular issues such as cosmetics.
Inspired by a kitsch culture so rooted in the Indian taste, that it feels so comfortable in its motley sacred spaces.
